CPT - Summer Fantasy

An open enrolment program that teaches children the basics of performing and confidence. They work approximately 6 weeks and ends in a weekend of performances to show friends and family members what they have achieved. Children are separated in to classes according to age, 5-8 9-12 13-15 or according to experience for the older children . Classes begin in May. Contact the Sermon Center for further information at 325-7370. Sign ups will close one week prior to classes starting.

Power House Foundation/ Indep. P&R -  Enchanted Forest

Non Scary fun for children of all ages. Follow the trail thru the woods and enjoy the tales that are told there, come early and bring friends. Have the kids dress up and enjoy face painting and flashing jewelry. A tractor driven hay ride takes you back by the concession stand where you can find warm food and hot drinks as well as place to rest before you head back to your vehicle.  George Owen park is located just north of 23rd/78 hwy & just east of 291 back by the Independence middle schools.
